Suparna SinghThe gratification of writing for a livelihood is that one is able to do it at all times. I revel in the swirling and swinging of words as they entangle human sentiments. However, the melancholy of it all is one has to do it irrespective of whether one is in the mood for it or not. A feeling often reflected by many authors is that when one does something that is so intensely close to the heart, it does tend to become less joyous when one has to keep doing it, day-after-moolah-grinding day. Being by yourself in an closed enclosure for hours on end while, in essence, constantly nattering in one's head about matters one has formerly cooked up and then jotting it down for total strangers does have several facets that are not intrinsically blissful. But then conjugating something out of zilch, capsizing the decrees of time and space, creating something for unfamiliar beings simply because one assumes that they might just take a liking to it and countless hours of being absent from oneself – is truly fascinating. And the conclusion of it all – the end product - is even more fulfilling. |
Suyog ShanbhagAs a child, I was always fascinated by gadgets. The way different parts of a gadget came together to give the final outcome always held my attention. My early days as a tech enthusiast were limited to reading the tech magazines. I used to save on pocket money (and also steal some from mom's purse) to buy such periodicals. I jumped out of my bed one fine morning when my application as a tech writer was accepted. Since then, I haven't looked back and now I spend hours drooling on gadgets in our labs. From a boisterous lad who used to break gadgets to explore the inside dope, I now get paid to open the machines and check them out. Our blogs cover all kinds of gadgets from cell phones to laptops. We spend hours testing the machines and tell you everything about the gadget that you intend to buy. |

Karan KarayiElegant, classy, subtle; these are just three of the things that Karan Karayi is not. A bundle of random thoughts and nomadic life experiences, he is almost always lost in an alternate universe all his own. And if you’re lucky enough on a cloudless, sunny day, you can see his thoughts passing through his mind and being very visible on his face before passing on through. He prides himself on two things, namely being lost in his own little world and always asking “why not?” when everyone else asks “why?” His idiosyncrasies and passion shine through in all of his blogs on travel and finance, and he holds his twin passions of traveling and understanding the world very close to his heart. |
